  1. A recent purchase from the local auction house. This machine dates from around 1951, and at the time would have cost the equivalent of several months wages. After removing the motor (with 2 pin plug) and several years worth of fluff and dust it stitches beautifully. Clearly a quality machine built to last! I will be using it with just the handwheel to stitch softer leathers for bags and wallet linings.
